Surprise! It's a boy!

we graduated!

Well, maybe there wasn't a graduation ceremony, but we did complete 6 weeks of birthing/baby classes with perfect attendance. What did we learn? Well, we know that the closest parking places are on the right side of the hospital and even though they say they are reserved, the fine print on the sign says that the are available after 4pm! Seriously though, we did learn more than that. We gained quite a bit of knowledge that will help us be better prepared (even though we are trying to face the reality that we won't be totally prepared for what is to come). One of our fellow classmates didn't quite make it through the class and they brought their little one to our last class for show and tell. It definitely made it all seem that much more real! They were happy to share that what they learned during the class really did help so I think I need to do some refresher studying over the next couple days/weeks! She could come anytime now so hopefully my next post will be a pic!

baby land

Well, the baby room is painted yellow, the crib is put together, we just got the glider/rocker, the diaper dandy (i mean champ) is in place, putting the carseat in today, and Mya (or Maia) continues to move around and make mommy uncomfortable.  I guess this means we are ready (outside of a couple major projects at work I need to tie up)?  We are ready (at least practically) to enter the world of baby land!
